Trina's therapeutic practice is always trauma-informed and anchored by the principles of Person Centred Therapy - empathy, non-judgement and authenticity.

Along with humanistic, emotion focused therapy approaches, Trina primarily uses psychodynamic psychotherapy to help individuals interrupt unconscious,  problematic coping behaviours and defence mechanisms, in order to experience avoided emotions in a healthy, regulated way. ​Trina uses other practical, solution-focused approaches where appropriate.

Reasons for seeking treatment with Trina may include: trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship problems (relationships with partners, family, colleagues, friends), addictions, grief, parenting challenges, low self-esteem, anger-management, self-sabotage patterns, problematic thought processes and health concerns.

Whilst Trina treats a broad range of emotional difficulties and mental health problems in her private practice work, she has also specialised in addictions treatment and has worked in an LGBTIQA+ specific setting.
